How a horse parades is the ultimate final factor of their chance in a race.

They say horses don’t talk, but to the trained eye, they do let you into the secret on how they are feeling on the day.

Glenn Pollett is without peer in assessing horses in the parade ring and has a proven track record with his ability to find great value winners and to be against favourites that get beaten.

“I have four key negative areas that if a horse is showing any of them they simply won’t run up to their best,” he says.

“This has been built up over decades of studying them and nobody else looks at what I do.”

Whilst Pollett’s secrets are a massive advantage, the horses general fitness from start to start is also a major factor.

“I go to every city, most provincial and many country meetings and know horses back the front,” he said.

“Apart from the key areas, knowing if a horse has improved, or gone backwards, in general fitness enables us to assess on how many lengths they have gained or lost.”

Pollett has survived the Sydney betting ring for 30 years as a punter and bookmaker and believes that the mounting yard is the key to the kingdom.

“It is the ultimate edge.”

Pollett, a survivor of the Sydney betting ring for 30 years, is highly protective of his work and has imparted his knowledge to only a few people, including Flemington clocker Warren Hunlty.

Huntly provides the Melbourne service of a Saturday and feature meetings

“Warren is an excellent judge in his own right and has a fantastic eye for a horse,” Pollett said.

“He started with the mail after the 2010 spring carnival and has proved his ability to find great priced winners.

“I've followed him and I'm in front.”

For just $33 per meeting, subscribers are provided with the mounting yard mail five to 10 minutes before each race.

“We send out our top four selections with a comment on their appearance, often a pot against a favourite and our suggested betting strategy,” Pollett said.

“You can handle it any way you like; follow the strategy, which I totally standby, or use the information to enhance your own work.

“Whatever the case if I don’t win I don’t eat, but there is nothing more important to me than subscribers winning.”

There aren’t many keener racing experts than Warren Huntly.

He is at Flemington at least three times a week, working side by side with the trainers at Australia’s premier racetrack clocking horses.

He also manages jockeys including Steven Arnold as well as holding many media roles.

Whilst as good as there is in his own right, Huntly has been trained up in Pollett’s methods.

“I’ve watch horses for years, but having seen Glenn’s work first hand is nothing short of amazing,” Huntly says.

“Those of us who have watched horses for a while all know if a horse has improved fitness wise and all the other important factors that go into the make-up of a horse.

“The behavioural negatives that I have learnt from Glenn are the keys though.

“Nothing is ever an exact science in this game, but I have become a total convert.

“I’ve seen the results too many times not to.”

TESTIMONIALS

"There is no finer judge of ringcraft than Glenn Pollett. It is the keys to the kingdom," ROBBIE WATERHOUSE

"Glenn, huge day Saturday, you\'re a legend again and Warren, you are on the way to being one," KEITH 9/4/10

"I am a serious punter and I have found the mounting yard mail an invaluable tool whether I\'m betting in Sydney or Melbourne. I don\'t think I\'ve come across anything that consisitently finds great priced winners like the MYM, but if I like something, getting the word that all is ok in the yard has been an enormous help with betting with confidence, or staying out and saving a loss if all is not right," DAVID
