THE Melbourne Phantom has cast his eye over Saturday's Caulfield meeting to find you the biggest overs and unders in early betting.
Rail Position: True Entire Circuit
Track Condition: Soft 5
Track Type: Turf
Expect the track to play very well once again, up or around the speed and slightly off the fence probably going to be the A1 ground. We'll be walking the track today and find out for sure though.
Race 7 – FAST 'N' ROCKING @ $3.80
You won't often find me stepping into horses at the top of the market that get back and chalk up flashing light runs. However, this sets up perfectly for the Hayes galloper. The top three horses that beat him home in the Monash aren't in this race and he was desperately unlucky that day. 1200m is a plus and there is a stack of speed in the race from horses that aren't yet fit. That'll help his cause in powering over them. I also like the wide draw in the big field. Rated $3 and think he'll be too good.
Race 8 – MR INDIVIDUAL @ $9.00
He looks a superb each-way bet. He's rock hard fit now and proved too classy on the speed last start dropping back from a solid 1600m race. Hoping they push forward from the wide draw, that's where Ben Thompson can control the race and assert his fitness advantage. WALL STREET WOLF looks too short and I expect the gap between these two horses shortens.
Race 8 – WALL STREET WOLF @ $2.50
Strong form through Lord Von Costa, an eye-catching catching maiden win last start and the bookies are taking no chances. A very promising horse that I've marked favourite but I couldn't get him any shorter than $4. I'd be surprised if he doesn't ease as the market tightens. Kinshachi, Prince Of Brooklyn and Mr Individual all will have admirers here.
