THEY weren't able to get the job done on Saturday, but John Walter has informed punters to stick solid with two promising two-year-olds from the opening race on the Canterbury card.
Walter has produced another comprehensive review of Saturday's nine-race Sydney card, complete with race replays and Ratings2Win data.
The race he identified as the 'best of the day' from a future form perspective was the opener, taken out by Tango Rain which was backed from $8 on race morning to $4.40 SP.
While describing the winner as "very professional" horse who did nothing wrong, Walter conceded he got everything to suit and instead suggested placegetters Thronum ($3.10 favourite) and Hair Trigger ($4.80) were the ones to follow.
"They've definitely got a chance in a Rosebud one another one of these Golden Rose lead up type races," Walter said.
